Stockholm is situated on the south eastern coast of Sweden where Lake Mälaren, Sweden’s third largest freshwater lake, flows into the Baltic Sea. Stockholm is Sweden’s most populous city and has long been one of Sweden’s cultural, economic, political and media centers. The central part of the city consist of fourteen islands located within the Stockholm Archipelago which lies at the mouth of the Baltic. These images taken primarily in the Old Town (Gamla Stan) section of Stockholm speak to the diversity, charm and vibrancy of the Swedish capital city.
